how we mask our fears

What story do you continue to tell yourself that holds you back from becoming the best YOU you know you came here to be?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My story: I’m a loner. I have a hard time finding and keeping friends. I always feel like an outsider. Nobody understands me. I don’t belong in this world, maybe because I’m meant to create a new one. So why even bother trying to associate myself with the world if they aren’t even ready to change. It’ll only deplete my energy.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You see… this is only a story. A story masking my fear of the world. My fear of being seen. Of being in a world so out of my control. Of losing everything I’ve known, including myself (this new idea of self I gave so much power to over the years, I allowed my solitude to become my comfort)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We all have stories we tell ourselves that really aren’t who we are. They’re stories we repeat over and over again until they prove themselves to be true, because it is our conscious thoughts, feelings, and emotions that create our reality.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Take a conscious look at your life.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How many stories have manifested into your current reality?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How much have you allowed them to control you?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Maybe you’ve made decisions you felt you were in control of that support a certain story of why things are more this way, than that.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But be honest with yourself…

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Was your ‘reasoning’ behind this story, really only an illusion masking your fears?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Don’t worry, we all have fears. That’s part of being human. But to evolve in this human incarnation, means facing your fears and seeing them as the illusions that they are.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I encourage you to go within. Listen to that whisper.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Who are you really? Behind all these masks. What is the true essence of your soul?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Do you really believe it supports these stories?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And if not.. then why do you ?
